I am a Winnipeg-based Canadian artist whose practice explores memory, nostalgia and the beauty of a fleeting moment. A memory can last a lifetime; sometimes it’s nice to stay in it for a little while longer. Through my paintings, I tend to re-live those moments and memories as a way to reimagine everyday experiences, such as the sound of a squirrel’s chirp, the smell of fallen leaves, or the crackle of a bonfire on a warm summer night. I want my audience to be able to connect emotionally with familiar feelings, encouraging reflection on our shared human experience. Considering myself a lifelong storyteller, thanks for joining me on this chapter - let’s cheers to experiencing new memories and celebrating the old ones together.

Jessica Beaugrand is a Winnipeg-based visual artist whose work is rooted in realistic painting and emotional storytelling. A lifelong creative, she taught painting events in and around Winnipeg for several years, rekindling and building her artistic path. These experiences and people she met deepened her belief in art as a vehicle for connection with others and the fast-moving world around her, as life moves quickly no matter how slowly you want to go. Her practice is inspired by everyday scenes, personal moments, and sensory memories that shape the texture of daily life. Graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Studio Honours) in April 2025, Jessica invites her viewers to participate in finding meaning within the ordinary, bridging their individual memories with a collective feeling of community.
